An estimated 100,000 Chinese people entrust their lives to human smugglers or 'Snakeheads' every year. For huge fees, they are promised a new life in the West. Correspondent traces the business of human smuggling to its source - Fujian, China. Through unprecedented access to the police and the government, the film shows Beijing's fight against the smugglers and reveals the on-going torment of the families caught-up in the Dover disaster. |
